Little Professor Book Center

This is a wonderful little corner bookstore on the west side of Central Park. For such a small location they have an incredible amount of inventory. In addition to books there are magazines, comic books, calendars, and puzzles.


The owner is very nice and he's almost always the person working there. Like myself, he's a big history fan, and has given me several good suggestions when I've been looking for a new book. I would expect him to know a lot about books, but when I mention a title, he speaks about it like he's read it. He probably has.

I've been buying books here for years. Typically I use Amazon to research titles and reviews, and then go to this store to buy it. It's rare that there isn't a copy on hand, and if not they will have it there quickly. These small bookstores are need to be supported.

John is a wealth of knowledge and if he doesn't have what you're looking for he will do whatever he can to get it for you. You come in for one or two books and there's always a couple extra that jump off the shelves at you. If you are in need of a good read but need help finding good stuff he is always spot on in the ones he recommends. There is also a large selection of puzzles, comics, and POP figurines to capture your attention.

Fantastic little book store! While it looks small, they have a great selection. It's very well-organized (unlike some bookstores that seem to be cluttered and chaotic). The owner was very friendly and helpful. A great business that makes one happy to shop local!

What a fantastic independent book store. I was able to find an edition of the Art of War which I have never seen available in a brick and mortar store. Also my Mom found two books that she absolutely loves. Highly recommend visiting this exceptional store. Customer service was excellent as well.
