God, the Wedding Planner Above All Wedding Planners
Caroline first met Christopher at her hometown church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. However, the young Christian friendship would not become romantic for another three years! But if you ask Christopher and Caroline, this was all a part of God’s beautiful plan. The night Caroline finally agreed to go on a date with Christopher is the same night she says she started falling in love with his sense of humor and humble heart.
If you think Caroline made it easy for Christopher to propose, you’re wrong. Two weeks before Christopher’s “surprise” proposal at the beach, Caroline discovered his secret plan! Disappointed with herself for uncovering the surprise, she became convinced that the whole proposal was postponed. Meanwhile, Christopher took two full days of scheming to plan a knock-out marriage proposal.
On the Fourth of July, Christopher planned to take Caroline out for breakfast and a photoshoot in downtown Raleigh. Caroline took too long to get ready, so their breakfast plans changed about three times and she ended up just getting a bagel from Starbucks because she was so hangry. Sounds relatable, right? Christopher finally lead Caroline up to the top of an apartment complex where a beautiful skyline of Raleigh greeted her. Before their “photoshoot,” he pulled her aside and that’s when Christopher told Caroline he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and asked, “Will you marry me?” Caroline was so surprised, so much so, that Christopher had to ask it repeatedly before she could process what was happening! It was the sweetest moment and Caroline felt like the luckiest girl in the world!

Bride Caroline looked angelic in a vintage lace bridal gown and sheer button up back. Her classic bridal look was polished off with a sparkling, waistline belt and an elegant, ball gown skirt of taffeta. Caroline’s bridesmaids looked pretty in pink with floor length bridesmaids dresses. Caroline’s maid of honor stood out in a special dress of the same style as the other bridesmaids, but a different color. This is a great way to let your maid of honor stand out and feel extra special on your wedding day!
Fresh bouquets of greenery and bright flowers gave this wedding a modern and natural vibe. Christopher and Caroline’s love of the outdoors was reflected by their gorgeous, garden bouquets. Today, Christopher and Caroline live happily in Garner, North Carolina. Caroline works as the executive assistant to the senior pastor at C3 Church and Christopher is self-employed as a marketing consultant. We are beyond grateful that this lovely bride and groom were willing to share their love story and wedding with Southern Bride and Groom and all of our followers. Bride Caroline says that her husband Christopher was the answer to her prayers,
“Christopher is everything I prayed for and brings me closer to God. I am so thankful that God brought him into my life and fulfilled the desires of my heart.”
